This is an old revision of the document!
We have recently confirmed a critical issue related to scheduled AhsayOBM/AhsayACB File Backup Sets running on Windows.
These files/folders will not be backed up during a scheduled backup job as “Local System account” account does not have read permission for these files/folders.
Although this issue does not affect backup jobs started manually from the AhsayOBM/AhsayACB UI, if these files/folders are successfully backed up on a manual backup job. Any subsequent schedule backup job will move these files to retention area. Where they will be permanently removed after they exceed the retention policy setting for the backup set.
To verify the Windows account used for the AhsayOBM/AhsayACB scheduler service on the Windows machine (the default account is “Local System account”)
* For AhsayACB go to > Services > Ahsay A-Click Backup Services and select the “Log On” tab.
* For AhsayOBM go to > Services > Ahsay Online Backup Manager Services and select the “Log On” tab.
To verify the file/folder has read permission for “SYSTEM” account, right click on a file/folder and select the 'Security“ tab. Then check the permission granted to the file/folder under “Permissions for SYSTEM”
Example: Folder where “SYSTEM” is granted Full Control
