When performing a VMware guest VM backup in VDDK mode on VMware vCenter / ESXi, the following error message is received in the backup report:

This issue occurs because the VMware VDDK 7 API used in AhsayOBM version 8.3.4.0 - 8.3.6.125 are not supported by VMware vCenter / ESXi for backup in VDDK mode.
To resolve the issue, patch the AhsayOBM application to version 8.5 or above. The instructions can be found by

Important: It is highly recommended for user to upgrade the AhsayOBM application to 8.5 or above.
