Problem Description

When performing an Office 365 backup, the backup seems to have stopped (backup job seems stopped but the client process still running). Further checking in the backup client log, the following message can be found:

[YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss] [hide] Wait selected pending task done - Office 365/Site Collections/%path%
[YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss] [hide] All selected pending task done - Office 365/Site Collections/%path% ...

Cause

The backup job is actually still running. This is a known issue for AhsayCBS and AhsayOBM / ACB version 8.5.2.x.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, patch the AhsayCBS and AhsayOBM / ACB application to version 8.5.2.106 or above. Performance of the backup will also be improved.
