Problem Description

When performing an Office 365 backup, the following error message is received in the backup report:

Cause

This issue can occur if the required permissions have not been assigned to the Office user account used for the authentication of the Office 365 backup set.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, ensure that the required permission are assigned for the Office account used for authentication of the Office 365 backup set. For details, refer to Section 2.14 of the Office 365 Backup & Restore Guide for Windows on Office 365 permission requirements.
