Problem Description
For VMware and Hyper-V VM backup sets with the Granular Restore option enabled, or file backup sets with the OpenDirect option enabled:
The Granular Restore / OpenDirect option is disabled unexpectedly, after editing the backup set's setting with UpdateBackupSet.do XML API calls.
Note:
User should not be able to modify the OpenDirect and Granular Restore settings after the backup set is created.
Cause
This is a known issue with AhsayCBS version pre-7.15.4.10.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, patch the AhsayCBS application to version 7.15.4.10 or above. The instructions can be found by Clicking Here.
