ATTENTION 1st January, 2022: v7 officially End-of-Life [details] ===== Problem Description ===== When performing a Hyper-V VM restore with the Run Direct option enabled, the following error message is displayed on the backup client interface:

In order to use the Run Direct feature, please install the "Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929" security update.

===== Cause ===== This issue can occur if the "Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929" security update has not been installed on the Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V server which the restore is being performed on.

Resolution:
To resolve the issue, install the "Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929" security update on the Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V server which the restore is being performed on.
