Description:
How do I change the Backup Client type between AhsayACB and AhsayOBM?

Steps:
To switch client type for a specific backup account, please refer to the following instructions:

To switch from AhsayACB to AhsayOBM:
Provided that you have adequate CALs for the corresponding client type, you can always switch an AhsayACB user to an AhsayOBM user via the AhsayOBS management console:

1. Login to the AhsayOBS management console
    
2. Select [Manage System] > [Manage User] > [Username] > [User Profile] to change the backup client type from AhsayACB to AhsayOBM

Reinstall the client application on the corresponding client machine afterward.


To switch from AhsayOBM to AhsayACB:
On the other hand, if you would like to switch an AhsayOBM user to an AhsayACB user, there are a few extra steps that is required in order to trim down the corresponding AhsayOBM account:

1. Remove any extra backup set(s) from the AhsayOBM account (AhsayACB account can only have 1 backup set).
   
   
2. Remove all schedules from the backup set to be migrated.
   
   
3. Remove any advance retention policy settings from the backup set to be migrated.
   
   
4. Remove any advance In-file delta settings from the backup set.
   
   
5. Modify the client type by going onto the AhsayOBS management console, [Manage System] > [Manage User] > [Username] > [User Profile].
   
   
6. Re-install the client application on the corresponding client machine afterward.
   
   Note:
   The backup set that you are migrating to AhsayACB must be a file backup set.
